Hayden kho on Senate Hearing

Hayden Kho and Katrina Halili are now in the Senate for their public hearing of the sex scandal issue. I was appalled after hearing how Hayden Kho described his relationship with Katrina. According to the Dr. Kho the relationship was all about “Drugs and sex, drugs and sex.” To which Katrina replied “Minahal ko si Hayden”. Man! This guy is literally burying his own coffin. By the way, the picture above is something I got from Facebook. Apparently some guy decided to splash water at Hayden Kho. Full details about the hearing after the break.

KHO ON AFFAIR WITH HALILI
‘Drugs, sex, drugs, sex’

MANILA, Philippines—“Drugs and sex, drugs and sex,” was how cosmetic surgeon Hayden Kho described his relationship with sexy actress Katrina Halili.

Hayden told the Senate committee hearing the sex video scandal that it was Halili who “influenced” him to use illegal drugs.

Kho, 29, admitted using “ecstasy” in August 2007 on the prodding of Halili.

Halili, who was also at the hearing, denied Kho’s allegation.

“Hindi po totoo na nagbibigay ako sa inyo ng drugs,” she said.

She said her relationship with Kho was beyond sexual.

“Minahal ko ho si Hayden,” the teary-eyed actress declared.

So… based on this it looks like Dr. Kho will be hinging his defense on his allegation that Katrina drugged him to have sex with her? Oh man. By the way, here’s the video of the water splashing fun.

Senate Hearing on kho/halili Scandal

The Senate’s initial investigation into the controversial sex video between Dr. Hayden Kho and Katrina Halili unearthed secrets, exposed lies, including information on drugs and sex trysts and romance of the celebrity doctor with other women.

Kho, who was forced to appear at the hearing after the Senate committee on youth, women and family relations headed by Sen. Jamby Madrigal rejected his request for a closed-door executive session, admitted to abnormal sexual activities including his fetish to film his trysts with various women.

The already electrically-charged atmosphere inside the Pecson room where the hearing was held was further aggravated when a retired policeman poured a bottle of water over the head of Kho minutes after the latter entered the jampacked room.

Madrigal ordered the Senate’s Office of the Sergeant at Arms (OSAA) to arrest Abner Afuang, who is also a former mayor of Pagsanjan, Laguna.

OSAA chief Jose Balajadia said Afuang was wearing a National Press Club (NPC) ID.

Balajadia said he heard Afuang saying, "Baboy ang tingin ko sa kanya, hindi tao" when he was collared by security and was escorted out of the room.

Kho said he was undergoing psychiatric counseling, and attributed his sexual tendencies to a childhood experience wherein he was caught on video by a woman without his consent.

In Thursday's hearing, Kho divulged that it was Halili who supplied him with illegal drugs while taping their sex act. An embattled Halili, in tears, refuted the allegations.

Kho said Halili urged him to use ecstasy, a drug which gives a user a feeling of elation. He also admitted to having used illegal drugs even when having sex with other women.

But when pressed by the senators who were present to name who he said supplied him with drugs, Kho refused to cooperate saying there are threats to his life and his family.

Kho was unwilling to disclose the name of the illegal drugs source even when the senators said they could do so in executive session.

However, Halili denied she ever used illegal drugs and said she is prepared to undergo a drug test at the Philippine Drugs Enforcement Agency (PDEA) to prove she is negative of the substance.

In a statement read to the committee, Halili thanked those who supported her and her fight for justice.

Kho’s lawyer Lorna Kapunan had earlier threatened that her client will walk out if the senators would conduct a public hearing of the case.

This was even after Madrigal had assured both camps that there would be no viewing of the videos because "it has already been viewed by the public."

But Sen. Jinggoy Estrada ignored their threat made by Kho and maintained that the hearing should be done openly for the benefit of the public who wants to know more information of the case.

"I want to make this public… Do not question the legislative intent of the Senate… I demand the presence of Kho before the Senate," Senate Pro Tempore Jinggoy Estrada firmly told Kapunan.

Hayden Kho's Mom Speaks.

The mother of Dr. Hayden Kho on Monday broke her silence to defend her son and get back at his critics amid the sex scandal that is hounding the embattled cosmetic surgeon.

In an exclusive interview with “TV Patrol World,” Irene Kho revealed that actress Katrina Halili was allegedly following a "script" when she came out in the open in connection with her sex video with Hayden.

“Ms. Katrina Halili, nabili na yang arte mo,” Irene said.

She also accused talent manager Lolit Solis of orchestrating Halili’s “acting.”

“Alam mo ang ginagawa mo kay Katrina Halili is scripted. Sinabi mo rin yan, huwag ka ng tumanggi… Ang ginawa mo kay Katrina Halili ay ini-script mo--kung kailan iiyak, kung anong a-artehan…. hindi ko alam kung sinong kasabwat mo,” Irene said.

She said she herself heard this from Solis when she was invited to go to a house to get a script last week. She said the incident happened after her son’s birthday. She said everybody who was present there heard Solis’ alleged admission.

She claimed that Solis had also purportedly told her to act to get the sympathy of the public. “Hindi ako nag-aarte. Hindi ako artista. Nasabi ni Lolit Solit sa akin, n’ong pinatawag ako, na ‘kailangan umiyak ka.’”

Holding up a crucifix in front of her, Irene said: “I’m just telling the truth. Na ito ay orchestrated ni Ms. Lolit Solis na very powerful.”

Irene claimed that, based on Solis’ alleged confession, Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. also called the talent manager.

“Tinawagan ka din ni kagalang-galang [senator] Bong Revilla,” she said.

Revilla was the first public figure to denounce Hayden after the cosmetic surgeon’s sex videos with Halili and other women spread on the Internet.

Irene also admitted that she got hurt when Revilla purportedly dragged her into the issue and uttered words against her.

“Nasasaktan lang po ako sa inyo kagalang-galang na Sen. Ramon Revilla. Kung bakit pati ako dinadamay mo dito. Ang sakit mong magsalita. Para bang wala na akong ginawang kabutihan sa aking anak,” she said.

Solis, Halili and Revilla are demanding for the revocation of Hayden’s license. Halili has already filed a complaint before the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the Professional Regulation Commission. The Senate is also set to investigate the issue.

Drug addiction

Meanwhile, the cosmetic surgeon’s mother blamed Halili for Hayden’s drug addiction.

“Ms Katrina, ikaw ang naglulon sa anak ko sa droga. Alam din namin yan at sinabi na namin yan sa lawyer,” she said.

She said the actress has no right to seek the help of various organizations, including women’s group Gabriela, because it was she who allegedly dragged her son into this mess.

“Ang anak ko, katino-tino hanggang matapos siya sa medisina, mabait na bata. Anong ginawa mo? Nilulon mo sa droga. Anong klase kang babae na tatawagin mo ang mga Gabriela, lahat,” she said.

Hallili's lawyer, Raymund Palad, denied that Halili took illegal drugs or that she had pushed illegal drugs. Palad also said that Halili did not give illegal drugs to Kho.

Not afraid

Irene said she decided to come out because she and her family were already “very tired” and affected by the sex scandal. She said her husband was brought to a hospital after the issue broke out.

“Ako nanginginig. Hindi na ako makatulog dahil ang anak ko pinapaglaruan, bibigyan pa ng kanta. Ang aking anak tinatapakan,” she said. “Hindi kami artista, hindi kami showbiz. Kami ay taong may private life, simple lang kami.”

Irene maintained that her son is not what his critics are saying him to be. She said, like the rest of her children, Hayden is a decent person.

“Alam kong mabait ang anak ko. Bago sila mang-husga, tanungin muna nila kasi ang simula po nito. Si Katrina ang dahilan,” she said.

She admitted that her son had committed a mistake but she lamented that the judgments “are too much.”

She added that her family is ready to face any investigation to be conducted by Senate and the NBI.

Katrina Halili seeks NBI probe into the sex video in the internet

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) said on Wednesday Dr. Hayden Kho would be grilled as the bureau started investigating into a controversial sex video posted on You Tube.

This was bared by NBI Director Nestor Mantaring after actress Katrina Halili had sought the help of the NBI to conduct an investigation into the uploading and circulation of an alleged sex video of her and Dr. Kho.

Mantaring said Halili is set to undergo psychological and psychiatric tests.

Halili was accompanied by Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. and her lawyers when she arrived at the Office of Mantaring at 2 p.m. today.

“Definitely, we will summon Dr. Kho,” Mantaring told reporters after a closed-door meeting with Halili and her companions.

The meeting lasted for almost an hour and Halili and her group left the office of Mantaring by passing through the backdoor to avoid the media people who flocked the NBI Director’s Office.

“Okay naman siya. Katrina Halili, together with Senator Bong Revilla, arrived here to file a complaint against Dr. Hayden Kho. She did not give details. And we will take her statement today (Wednesday),” said Mantaring when asked if Halili was emotional when she talked to him.

Mantaring said Dr. Cynthia Alcuaz of the NBI Neuro-Psychiatric System had an initial interview with the actress.

“She (Halili) will under psychological and psychiatric tests,” the NBI director said.

Mantaring said the focus of the probe is the determination of the possible crimes.

“We will look into the possible crimes like violation against women and children and the computer crimes, possibly the cyber sex crime,” he added.

Mantaring tapped the Anti-Fraud and Computer Crimes Division (AFCCD) and the Violence Against Women and Children Division (VAWCD) to investigate the complaint. (PNA) scs/JES

Hayden Kho says "Sorry"

For the first time since the controversy broke, cosmetic surgeon Hayden Kho faced the media Friday to air his side on the video recordings of his sexual escapades with several women, saying that he is also a “victim” since the videos were stolen from him.

Kho, speaking to the media in an undisclosed location in Makati, asked for forgiveness from his family, friends, and the women involved in the videos, one of whom is actress Katrina Halili.

“I deeply regret everything that has happened because of poor judgment. Nagsisisi na po ako sa dami ng mga nadamay, sa dami ng mga nasaktang tao, dahil may nagnakaw at nagkalat nung videos,” Kho said.

He maintained that he is also a victim of the controversy, since the videos, which he said were supposed to be private only, were stolen from him and were sold by a former friend.

He also said that he is ready to face the consequences of his actions.

“Right now, I only feel deep remorse. I know it’s too much to ask for forgiveness right now, [pero] sana, someday, people would learn to condemn the sin and not the sinner,” he added.

He also appealed to the public to stop distributing and watching the videos.

Statement

On Thursday, Kho broke his silence on the matter by releasing a statement apologizing for the proliferation of the videos.

He said such were uploaded and reproduced without his knowledge and consent.

“The filming of an intimate, strictly personal, and private act is most unfortunate and truly regrettable, and I sincerely apologize for the harm it has done to other parties. I must emphasize that there was no malice on my part, or intention to hurt anyone with these recordings,” he explained.

“I deplore the fact that without my knowledge and consent, these recordings were uploaded on the internet, downloaded, reproduced in optical media form, distributed, and sold to the public,” he added.

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has subpoenaed Kho, his former girlfriend Dr. Vicki Belo, and fellow doctor Eric Johnston Chua regarding the investigation on the alleged sex video.

Belo reportedly had a copy of the sex video while Chua was named as the person allegedly responsible for exposing it to the public.

On Wednesday, Halili accused Kho, her former lover, and others of violating the Republic Act 9262 or the law on violence against women and children. As part of the procedure, the sexy actress underwent a psychological evaluation in the NBI on Thursday.

Doctor no more

Given the extent of the controversy, Kho said he has decided to suspend his practice of medicine. “I own up to my responsibility as a professional, and have decided to suspend my practice of medicine.”

Earlier, Halili asked the Professional Regulatory Commission to revoke Kho’s license for videotaping their sexual intercourse without her consent. Halili’s fellow stars, as well as other lawmakers, also condemned Kho.

Kho said the incident had a “mental and emotional effect” on his being, saying that he has been undergoing professional counseling since December last year. In the meantime, he said Atty. Lorna Kapunan would speak on his behalf regarding the issue.

“At this stage, I realize I cannot expect understanding and forgiveness. I can only pray that this comes in due time,” he said.

Actor Richard Gutierrez hurt in car accident One more injured, one killed

Actor Richard Gutierrez and a companion were injured early Friday in a car accident that also killed another in Cavite province, authorities said.

Chief Superintendent Perfecto Palad, Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon) regional police chief, said the incident occurred at around 1:30 a.m. along the northbound lane of the Sta. Rosa-Tagaytay Road in Barangay (village) Putting-Kahoy in Silang town.

Gutierrez, who was driving his Nissan GTR sports car, was managing a curve when he lost control of the vehicle and crossed over to the opposite lane, hitting a lamp post, said Superintendent Danilo Buentipo, Silang town police chief, in a separate interview.

Buentipo said the impact toppled the lamp post.

Gutierrez, his assistant Nomar Pardo, and Jorce Mascora, were rushed to a hospital in Tagaytay where Pardo died.

Meanwhile, in a phone patch interview by GMA Network's "Unang Hirit" with Gutierrez's publicist Jun Lalin, he said the actor underwent surgery.

Lalin said Gutierrez's parents, Annabelle Rama and Eddie Gutierrez, and sister Ruffa were now with the actor.

Buentipo said that at 4 a.m., Gutierrez was transferred to the Asian Hospital in Muntinlupa City.

He said that the incident was “purely an accident,” describing the area as “accident-prone” because it was poorly lit.

“We also received information that Gutierrez just came back from a shoot. He must be tired,” Buentipo added.
